River View

Preserving the Ferry

Dedicated to maintaining the architectural integrity and natural beauty of Decatur's premier river community.

Our Legacy

Founded in the autumn of 1983, the Armstrong Ferry HOA and Yacht Club was envisioned as a premier sanctuary for the discerning riverfront enthusiast. What began as a strategic assembly of riverside cabins—mostly held together by neighborly grit and marine-grade plywood—has matured into a premier enclave of singular distinction. We maintain our 'Yacht Club' status, defending a legacy where a 'vessel' is anything that doesn't currently require a bilge pump, and 'prestige' is defined by having a dock that doesn't float toward Chattanooga during the spring rains. We are the stewards of the shore, even the parts that stay muddy until July.

"Securing the perimeter from the Square to the Ferry. We’re here to protect our views, our docks, and our peace and quiet—mostly from progress, and definitely from Dayton."
